It’s a great day and promises to be a grand time as we celebrate Atlanta and her Irish Heritage!

Paul Gleeson was introduced as Ireland’s first Consul General in Atlanta by Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Brian Cowen in July 2010. Consul Gleeson immediately began the job of establishing Ireland’s first new Consulate in the United States since the 1930s.  CLICK TO READ MORE

The Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade received an autumn boost when more than 120 golfers gathered at Peachtree Golf Club on Oct. 31 for the Inaugural Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Foundation Golf Tournament. The sold out event raised $160,000 to support The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Georgia and the 2012 edition of the parade. Flanking the winning foursome are Dave Fitzgerald (far left), chairman of the 2012 Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Honorable Paul Gleeson (far right), Irish Consul General. The 2011 winning team (L-R) of Mark Preisinger, Neil Johnson, Michael Keough and Tom Daly will defend their championship in next year’s tournament.
